What We Believe
Everything begins with Jesus Christ and the truth of God’s Word. Our beliefs are rooted in Scripture and shape how we worship, how we live, how we serve, and how we share the Gospel.
“Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.”JOHN 17:17 — KJV
Our Biblical Foundation
These foundational beliefs summarize the biblical truths that guide GOE Ministry.
The Bible
We believe the Holy Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God. Scripture is our foundation for faith, doctrine, correction, instruction, and Christian living. God’s Word is truth and remains the final authority over our beliefs rather than culture, tradition, or personal opinion.
2 Timothy 3:16–17 • Psalm 119:105 • John 17:17
The One True God
We believe there is one true and living God, eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the Creator of all things, holy, sovereign, righteous, loving, and worthy of all worship, honor, and obedience.
Deuteronomy 6:4 • Matthew 28:19 • 2 Corinthians 13:14
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the grave, ascended into Heaven, and will return again.
John 1:1–14 • Matthew 1:18–23 • 1 Corinthians 15:3–4 • Acts 1:9–11
Sin & Salvation
We believe all people have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Sin separates humanity from God, and no amount of good works can earn salvation. Salvation is the gift of God, received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross.
Romans 3:23 • Romans 6:23 • John 3:16 • Ephesians 2:8–9
Repentance & New Life
We believe the Gospel calls people to repent and believe in Jesus Christ. Genuine faith produces a changed life. Those who belong to Christ are called to turn from sin, grow in obedience, and increasingly reflect the character of Jesus in the way they live.
Mark 1:15 • Acts 3:19 • 2 Corinthians 5:17 • Romans 12:1–2
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, indwells every believer, guides us into truth, produces spiritual fruit, equips believers for service, and empowers us to live lives that honor Jesus Christ.
John 14:16–17 • John 16:7–13 • Galatians 5:22–25 • Acts 1:8
Baptism
We believe those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ should follow Him in water baptism. Baptism is a public declaration of faith and identifies the believer with the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ.
Matthew 28:19 • Acts 2:38–41 • Romans 6:3–4
The Church
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ. Believers are called to gather together, worship God, study His Word, pray, encourage one another, serve others, make disciples, and proclaim the Gospel.
Acts 2:42–47 • 1 Corinthians 12:12–27 • Hebrews 10:24–25
Marriage & Family
We believe marriage was established by God as a covenant between one man and one woman. We believe the family is a God-ordained institution and that parents have a sacred responsibility to teach, demonstrate, and pass biblical faith to the next generation.
Genesis 2:18–24 • Matthew 19:4–6 • Ephesians 5:22–33 • Deuteronomy 6:6–7
Christian Living
We believe followers of Jesus are called to live lives that honor God. Christians should pursue holiness, integrity, humility, forgiveness, compassion, generosity, sexual purity, truth, and love for God and others. Our lives should demonstrate the faith we profess.
Romans 12:1–2 • Galatians 5:16–25 • James 1:22 • 1 Peter 1:15–16
The Great Commission
We believe Jesus Christ commanded His followers to make disciples of all nations. Every Christian has a role in sharing the Gospel, teaching God’s Word, serving others, and helping people become faithful followers of Jesus Christ.
Matthew 28:18–20 • Mark 16:15 • Acts 1:8
The Return of Christ & Eternity
We believe Jesus Christ will return. We believe in the resurrection of the dead, final judgment, and eternal life. Those who are in Christ have the promise of eternal life with God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
John 14:1–3 • Acts 1:11 • 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17 • Revelation 21:1–4
God Over Everything
At GOE Ministry, our beliefs are not built around culture, politics, trends, personalities, or what happens to be popular at the moment.
Our foundation is Jesus Christ and the Word of God. Scripture determines what we believe, and Christ determines how we are called to live.
God Over Everything
isn’t simply our name.
It is the way we believe Christians are called to live.
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
MATTHEW 6:33 — KJVHave Questions About What We Believe?
We welcome sincere questions about Scripture, Jesus Christ, salvation, prayer, and the Christian faith. You do not have to have everything figured out before seeking God.
